Review: Vision In White by Nora Roberts

Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads (Picture links to page)

Wedding photographer Mackensie “Mac” Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered moments before an important wedding rehearsal when she bumps into the bride-to-be’s brother…an encounter that has them both seeing stars.
A stable, safe English teacher, Carter Maguire is definitely not Mac’s type. But a casual fling might be just what she needs to take her mind off bridezillas. Of course, casual flings can turn into something more when you least expect it. And Mac will have to turn to her three best friends-and business partners-to see her way to her own happy ending

My Review:

This is book 1 in the Bridal Quartet.

As always, with Nora Roberts, one walks away with a happy heart and a spring in ones step. She always manages to create such an atmosphere with the setting and the people that you feel like you made new friends and joined a new family. This was no different.

Mac has herself some SERIOUS mommy issues and as a result is a bit of a commitment phobe. She is in no way ready for Carter and his extraordinary good looks and incredibly annoying patience.

It was such a fun read watching their relationship yo-yo up and down. At times I had such a laugh at Mac’s ridiculous notions and ideas and at other times I really just wanted to take her by the shoulders and shake her until she woke up.

Once again Ms Roberts did not disappoint with imagery and world building. The amazing descriptions of the farm, the wedding settings, the photographs made you feel like you were in the midst of it all. I had such a blast going to so many weddings and experiencing all the different mood swings (especially as I am currently planning my own).

Mac and Carters romance was so sweet and endearing that I find myself looking forward to the next three books in the quartet.

Bed of Roses here I come.
